As announced in June 2012, as part of an effort to streamline global research and development, research projects in Nutley, will be transferred to locations in Europe and the Nutley site will cease business operations at the end of 2013. Roche Pharma will continue to have a presence on the US East Coast with a Pharmaceuticals Translational Clinical Research Center located in New York City.
