We focus our grant-making on specific community outreach programs that address the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases that can enhance well-being and the quality of life. We consider funding requests for innovative community-focused initiatives within our therapeutic areas of expertise: Virology, Oncology, Inflammation, Central Nervous System (CNS), and Metabolic Diseases.
Science Education and Student Success
As one of the world's leading research-oriented healthcare groups with core businesses in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, a portion of Roche's charitable support is focused on science education and student success. We support student enrichment and secondary teacher training programs emphasizing science. Through this support, Roche invests in the future of its community and the development of leadership.
Environment
Protecting people and the environment is a key concern in everything we do at Roche, and can be seen in countless areas, from our Sales professionals using hybrid cars to the company's recycling program or routine sampling of the workplace to ensure the highest standards of health and safety. Culture
Roche believes that contemporary culture enriches our daily lives and that there are close parallels between innovation in the arts and innovation in research. To that end, we support selected arts and cultural institutions that are consistent with those beliefs.
