Employee Volunteer Programs
Ask any of the hundreds of employees who have volunteered on behalf of Roche and they'll tell you that volunteering is as rewarding to the giver as it is to the receiver. Throughout the year, various departments at Roche work with Corporate Relations and Contributions to coordinate volunteer activities with local non-profit organizations. These employees may spend time tutoring, painting, sorting food, serving meals, wrapping gifts, entering computer data and creating hiking trails-whatever the need, our employees are willing to extend themselves.
In addition, employees can join with their colleagues from around the world and participate in the annual Global Roche Employee Children's Walk. This 5K walk raises funds for children in Malawi, Africa, as well as New Jersey charities serving children. Roche matches all funds raised.
Many employees also volunteer individually in their communities and Roche encourages and supports their participation through the LD Barney Volunteer Program and through the Matching Gifts for Education and Hospitals Program, which offers employees an opportunity to support hospitals, institutions of higher education and private secondary schools.
