Charitable Funding Guidelines
Roche focuses its grant making on specific programs within our giving priorities of health/social/humanitarian, science education and student success, environment and arts/culture. (Roche directs its support to pre-identified environmental and arts/culture organizations and therefore does not accept unsolicited grant requests.)
Funding consideration is directed to charitable 501 (c) (3) organizations based in the United States where Roche has a significant presence or interest and whose beneficiaries reside in the United States.
The same charitable funding guidelines apply to both the Corporate Charitable Contributions program and The Roche Foundation. Proposals submitted through the application process will be directed to the appropriate entity for review.
Restrictions
Roche will not consider funding requests for:
* Gifts to individuals, endowment or scholarship funds
* Organizations based outside of the United States and/or whose beneficiaries reside outside of the United States
* Political organizations, political parties, political candidates or political office holders
* The purchase, construction, expansion or modification of facilities; equipment or other capital expenditures
* Sponsorships of athletic teams and events
* "Goodwill" advertising, including souvenir programs, commemorative or special occasion publications and school yearbooks
* Sectarian groups (except for possible education and health programs which serve the general public without regard to religious affiliation)
