R&D Directions: Top 10 Pipelines (2008, 2006, 2005, 2004) For the fourth time in five years, R&D Directions recognized Roche has having one of the Top 10 Pipelines in the industry. In adding Roche to the list in 2008, the editors noted the strength of the oncology pipeline and the diversity of compounds and indications currently under investigation. |

Selling Power Magazine: Roche Ranks #1 Among "The 50 Best Companies to Sell For" (2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003) Selling Power magazine announced in its November/December 2008 issue that Roche ranks #1 for the sixth year in a row among the top companies to sell for in the United States. The ranking is based on responses to a survey sent to top sales executives, training managers and Human Resources managers. The magazine's editors base the rankings on criteria in three categories: compensation, training and career mobility. Out of a possible perfect score of 100, Roche scored the highest with 77 total points. |

Science Magazine: Roche Ranked Among Top 10 Industry Employers(2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002) Roche consistently ranks among the top 20 employers on Science Magazine's annual survey of Top 20 Employers in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry. This was the eighth consecutive year that Roche has been honored on this list. Roche was selected based on its important quality research, being an innovative leader in the industry, and having a clear vision toward the future. |

Med Ad News: Pharmaceutical Company of the Year(2007)
Roche was named Pharmaceutical Company of the Year by Med Ad News in 2007. Selected from a field of 50 companies, Roche was chosen due to the company's focus on innovation-driven healthcare. |

NJ BIZ Best Places to Work(2006, 2005)
In 2006, for the second consecutive year, Roche was ranked as one of the 50 "Best Places to Work in New Jersey" in the NJBIZ publication's second annual listing. Roche was ranked Number 17 in the large-sized company category in 2006 and was one of only 3 manufacturing companies that made the list. |

Fortune 100 Best Companies(2005) In January 2005, Roche was named to Fortune magazine’s 2005 list of "100 Best Companies to Work For in America." According to Fortune, the two most important factors in selecting companies for the list include Fortune’s evaluation of the policies and culture of each company and the opinions of the company’s own employees. |

AARP (2006, 2005, 2004, 2003) For the last four years, Roche has made the AARP list of "Best Employers for Workers over 50." The AARP said Roche excelled in many categories including recruitment, opportunities for advancement, flexible work schedules and benefits. |

Health Magazine: Top 10 Healthiest Companies for Women (2003) Roche was named the seventh healthiest company for women in the United States by Health Magazine. The article, "The Top 10 Healthiest Companies for Women," was published in the magazine's July/August 2003 issue. Roche made the top 10 thanks to benefits such as the Employee Health Services Center, a cafeteria that consistently serves a variety of "Health Entrees," the affordable and centrally located fitness center, and the company-sponsored Child Care Center, which pioneered corporate onsite child care and has been in operation since 1977. |

100 Best Companies for Working Mothers (2002) In 2002, Roche was named one of the "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers" by Working Mother magazine. This is the twelfth time Roche has received this honor. Since one of our key company goals is to be an employer of choice, our inclusion on the "100 Best" list, is not only an honor, but continuing confirmation that we are a leader in advancing women in the workplace as well as providing services and programs that help our employees balance individual work and personal demands. |
